Adverse Reactions

Gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, and upper abdominal discomfort are seen with high iron doses (usually greater than 120 mg elemental iron per day).
May cause temporary staining of teeth.
Stools may appear darker in color.
